The quality of your finished print starts with the quality of the artwork you supply.

These artwork guidelines explain how to prepare logos, graphics and designs for custom clothing, branded workwear and DTF printing with TIX Printing.

Supplying the best-quality artwork available helps us prepare your print files accurately and reduces the chance of delays caused by unsuitable files.

Artwork Proofing Before Printing

We will not print customised garments until the artwork has been proofed and approved.

Our team checks your order and will contact you if we identify anything that may affect the finished result. If everything looks suitable, an artwork proof is sent by email for approval before production begins.

Please check your proof carefully, including the design, spelling, positioning and any other important details, before approving it.

Best File Types for Printing

Where possible, vector artwork is the preferred format because it can be scaled without losing quality.

TIX Printing can accept vector files including:

AI, EPS, PDF and SVG

The current artwork guidelines also accept:

PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF, TIFF, PSD and PS.

If you have several versions of your logo or design available, send the highest-quality original file rather than a screenshot or a copy saved from social media.

Vector Artwork & Text Outlines

If you're supplying vector artwork that contains text, convert the text to outlines before sending the file.

This prevents problems caused by missing fonts and allows the design to be reproduced correctly without requiring the original font files.

Artwork Resolution & Image Quality

Always upload the highest-resolution version of your logo or design that you have.

Low-quality artwork can produce a poor finished print, particularly if a small image needs to be enlarged.

If we believe the artwork supplied may affect the finished result, we'll contact you to discuss the best way to proceed.

Transparent Backgrounds

For designs that should print without a surrounding background, use a file format that supports transparency.

Formats such as PNG and EPS can support transparent backgrounds.

For example, if you want only your logo printed onto a garment, the background surrounding the logo should normally be removed from the artwork before production.

Artwork for DTF Printing

If you're ordering custom DTF transfers or DTF gang sheets, good artwork preparation is especially important because your supplied design becomes the basis of the printed transfer.

Use the highest-quality artwork available and ensure unwanted backgrounds have been removed where appropriate.

If you're uploading a completed gang sheet, make sure the artwork is already arranged as you want it printed before submitting your file.
